The adventure truly begins when Din comes into possession of a magical jade teapot that contains Long (voiced by John Cho), a cynical, all-powerful, and slightly sarcastic dragon. Long can grant Din three wishes, and while he tries to steer Din toward a path of wealth and opulence so he can finally ascend to the spirit world, Din has other priorities. He uses the first of his wishes simply to find Lina, setting off a wild, hilarious, and moving journey through a city of stark contrasts.
