Redgate has heavily transitioned toward user-based licensing tied to a Redgate ID. For strict offline environments, contact your Redgate account representative to ensure your contract includes a traditional serial number key, as user-based licensing inherently requires periodic internet check-ins.
The offline activation workflow relies on a handshake mechanism: your offline machine generates a unique request string based on its hardware fingerprint, Redgate’s activation server signs it on an online machine, and you return the signature to the offline machine.
