You can even stream real-world videos on the TVs or plaster the walls with nostalgic 90s posters.

EmuVR didn’t just render games in a dome of stars; it reconstructed places. The menu showed virtual rooms named after eras—"Basement Arcade", "Dorm Room '18", "Arcade on Ninth"—and when Kai entered the Dorm Room, his childhood poster was on the virtual wall, slightly yellowed, the text on it the exact color he remembered. He found an old save labeled "K. — Boss Rush" and sat down on a virtual futon. The controller felt like a relic in his hands; he remembered the calluses on his thumbs, the accidental thumbprint in the top-left corner of an old cartridge.

EmuVR does provide any games; users must supply their own ROM files.

EmuVR is not an emulator itself. Instead, it is a powerful frontend built on top of and the Libretro framework. It acts as a 3D virtual environment that translates digital emulators into physical, interactive objects within a virtual space.
