Understanding the Labour Law requires familiarity with its precise definitions. Article 3 defines as every person of either sex and any nationality who has signed an employment contract in return for remuneration, under the direction and management of another person, whether a natural person or legal entity. To be covered by the law, a person must: (1) perform work, (2) be remunerated, and (3) be under the direction and supervision of another person.
